Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy on the financial performance of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) in Makassar City. The study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method, with a planned sample size of 400 MSME owners drawn from a population of 211,496 business units. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression. Based on the data analysis, a regression coefficient of 0.652 was obtained, with a significance value of 0.001, indicating a positive and significant influence. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.384 suggests that financial literacy accounts for 38.4% of the variation in UMKM financial performance, while the remaining 61.6% is explained by factors outside the research model. These findings require verification using data from actual respondents.
